First, flexible sheets of synthetic rubber are unrolled over the entire surface of your roof, then the single layer of material (hence “single ply system”) gets fastened to your existing roof and is sealed in place. We frequently get asked, “what about the seams in a single ply system?” Building owners sometimes have to deal with an endless cycle of leaks and repairs with their current roof and don’t want to deal with it anymore. Well, our synthetic rubber sheets are several feet wide and get laid out side by side, with some overlap. Then they are fastened in place with metal and screws, and we clean each seam so no dirt or debris will foul the seal. We heat meld the seams to one another, which makes the rubber bond unbreakable. We can also put an additional coat of the liquid version of the synthetic material, which gives them additional strength.

With all of this, single ply roofing is six times stronger than those on an EPDM roof, which means double protection for your commercial roofing. The fibrous membrane is resistant to chemicals and pollutants, so substances around your facility won’t damage it and can’t seep into the surface.
